Community Growing from Strength to Strength!

Gardd Gwen

This month Alex from Keep Wales tidy and the community garden volunteers are making the last push to complete the installation of the Super-sized package that was granted to us.

This marks the end of the current upgrades to the site which will be boasting (by end Jan 26) accessible pathways, 10 raised beds, 2 polytunnels (one with solar irrigation), a water standpipe, 2 sheds, a weather shelter, 6 compost bins, accessible picnic tables, a raised pond, habitat boxes and several rainwater collection stations.

The land is sectioned into a community food growing garden, orchards, children’s garden and wild space for education, recreation and conservation. Come along and try your hand at gardening, enjoy the view and have a picnic or get into conservation work with our volunteers.

We are always looking for new volunteers!
